Funeral for Eleanor Anders Adcock, 92, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Thompson and Joshua Allison officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Adcock died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 23, 1915, in Morgan County to John Walter Anders and Ester Minter Anders. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she played the piano for 50 years and was involved in all church activities. She had worked at Dari-Delite in Hartselle and Hartselle Post Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Elbert Adcock, who died in 2000; a daughter, Wreatha Adcock Dubose; an infant son, Cecil Elbert Adcock Jr.; and a grandson, Jeffrey Sandlin.
She is survived by two sons, Perry Adcock of Decatur and Charles Adcock and wife Linda of Panama City, Fla.; three daughters, Gail Adcock Sandlin and husband Edward L. of Fayetteville, Tenn., Sylvia Kamp and husband Marvin of Brandon, Fla. and Elizabeth Adcock Clark and husband Bill of Priceville; two sisters, Emogene Keene of Tuscaloosa and Sue Gravlee of Gardendale; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were grandsons and friends.
