Funeral for Alvin Austin Buchanan, 80, of Somerville was Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Curt Stanford officiating.
Burial was in Welti Cemetery in Cullman County.
Mr. Buchanan died Nov. 11, 2007, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Birmingham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Buchanan of Somerville; two sons, Ronald Buchanan of Decatur and Eddie Buchanan of Texas; a daughter, Shireen West of Decatur; two stepdaughters, Peggy Shepard of Somerville and Samantha Collins of Birmingham; and a sister, Imogene Paseur.
Family and friends were pallbearers.
