Falkville, Danville split games

FALKVILLE — Stephen Lindsey scored on a short putback after a Falkville miss to send the Blue Devils to a 51-49 victory over Danville Friday night.
Lindsey scored nine points in the second half.
Joseph Lacy scored 14 points and Lindsey finished with 13 points in the win..
Justin Blanchard and Jake Randolph both scored seven points for the Blue Devils.
Roger Smith scored 15 points and Dakota McClung added 12 points as Falkville beat Danville Friday night.
Eric Cordova and Russell Standridge both finished with seven points in the win.
The game was tied seven times, including at 44-44 midway through the fourth quarter.
Lacy hit two buckets to put Falkville in front by four points, but Danville rallied to tie the game at 49-49 with less than a minute remaining.
Danville had two shots to take the lead, but Falkville regained control and Lindsey capped the win with his jumper with 1.6 seconds remaining.

Danville 63, Falkville 34
Danville’s Alaina Fitzgerald scored 10 points in the first four minutes of the second half to spark the Lady Hawks to a 29-point win at Falkville.
Leading by just two points in the opening minute of the second half, Fitzgerald scored 10 straight points on two baskets and two 3-pointers.
Danville outscored Falkville 24-8 in the third quarter to break the game open.
Lindsay Simmons and Laney Jolley both finished with eight points in the win.
Falkville got 11 points from Lauren Estes, while Alesia Smith and Hilary Eason both added seven points.
And when Fitzgerald got hot, the Lady Hawks took control of the game and never looked back.
Other games
Danville 60, Priceville 56
Russell Standridge scored 23 points as Danville beat Priceville Saturday afternoon.
Roger Smith added 13 points for the Hawks in the win.
Priceville’s JaColby Reid finished with 17 points to lead the Bulldogs. Josh Sharp added 13 points, while Kristian Baker chipped in 11 points.
Priceville led 26-23 at the half, but the Hawks rallied for the win with a strong second half.
