Thompson named Enquirer sports editor

Todd Thompson has joined the staff of the Hartselle Enquirer as sports editor.
He began his duties with the Enquirer on a full-time basis last week.
Thompson, who served as the sports editor for the Moulton Advertiser for the past five years, replaces Justin Schuver, who took a position with the Andalusia Star-News. The Star-News and the Hartselle Enquirer are owned by Boone Newspapers of Tuscaloosa.
Thompson, a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has also worked with newspapers in Florence and Jasper. While a student at UAB, he served as a Sports Information Assistant in the Blazers’ athletic department, coordinating media coverage of all of UAB’s non-revenue sports.
