Brewer girls stingy hosts in own tourney

SOMERVILLE — Brewer cruised to the championship in its own tournament with dominating wins over Priceville and Decatur Friday.
The Lady Patriots allowed just 86 points in three games.
Emily Dabbs finished with 40 points in the three games, while Meagan Hormel had 32.
Brewer 77, Fairview 22
Emily Dabbs scored a team-high 15 points as Brewer hammered Fairview in the opening round of the tournament.
Kendra Jones finished with 12 points, while Meagan Hormel had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Brewer 78, Decatur 35
Emily Dobbs led Brewer with 14 points, while Morgan Crawley added 13 points. Chelsey Smith and Elizabeth Bromirski both had 11 points and Meagan Hormel chipped in with 10.
Shannon Laughlin paced the Lady Red Raiders with seven points.
Brewer 67, Priceville 29
Jones recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Lady Patriots rolled past Priceville.
Emily Dobbs and Meagan Hormel both finished with 11 points for Brewer in the win, while Elizabeth Bromirski added 10 points.
Priceville’s Jordan Crow led the Lady Bulldogs with seven points.
