Hartselle Beautification Association has announced plans for its annual Christmas Tour of Homes Dec. 8 from 3 – 8 p.m.
The tour will spotlight 11 locations, including the historic F. E. Burleson Fine Arts Building at 307 College Street and First Christian Church at 209 East Main Street. All will be decorated in a Christmas d/cor.
The Fire Arts Building will give the public in opportunity to see the progress that has been made in the restoration of one of the city’s oldest public buildings. It will be open for tours until 6 p.m., after which a Christmas production by The College Street Players will be staged in the auditorium.
The church will serve as the official host of the tour. Refreshments will be served in its fellowship hall and the Beautification Association will offer a wide selection of Christmas wreaths for sale.
Tour admission is $10 per person. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Beautification Office, Municipal Building, Hartselle Area Chamber Commerce and Florene’s. They will also be available at all tour locations.
Homes on the tour are listed as follows: 1307 Sparkman Street, Johnny and Jeanna Rackley; 3110 Tablerock, Warner and Linda Crow; 710 Main St. E., Darwin and Catherine Phillips Halbrooks; 1104 Ridgecrest Lane, Pratt and Donna Faulk; 904 Barkley St., Joe and Virginia Howell; 205 Sloss St., Charles and Terry Norwood; 550 Lakesouth Drive, Al and Lynda Armistead; 3706 Flint Point Circle, Vu and Tracy Pham; and 411 Ferncrest St.; Mike and Sonya Preuitt.
Wallace said proceeds would be used to help fund an upgrade of “Welcome to Hartselle” signs and Christmas decorations for the business community.
