Hartselle to host F.A.C.E.S.

Morgan County Families and Children Experiencing Separation (F.A.C.E.S.) will conduct its seventh annual Christmas Open House and Silent Auction Monday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oh!Bryan’s Family Steakhouse in Hartselle.
Hosted by Jimmy and Gina Smith and the F.A.C.E.S board of directors, the event’s goal is to raise enough money to support approximately 425 children currently within the protective service and foster care system in Morgan County in 2008.
The gifts up for auction include a hand-stitched flower garden quilt donated by the women of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church, a one-week beach vacation at Fort Morgan, autographed Auburn and Alabama footballs and a kitchen sink complete with faucets.

F.A.C.E.S. was established in 1951 to meet emergency medical and health needs of abused and neglected children in Morgan County. Its goals include helping to educate the community about child abuse and neglect, promote awareness of the need for foster and adoptive homes and advocate for public sector policies, services and financing to provide adequate care and placement.
