Through Dec. 31
Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Galaxy of Lights is back this year with its lighted holiday displays.
Drive-through nights are Nov. 22-Dec. 31 from 5:30-9 p.m. Drive through is $12 per car with a $1 discount for donated canned food, paper product, pet food, children’s book, coat or Toys for Tots item. A $2 discount is also available for drive-through tickets purchased in advance at the garden.
Dec. 6
Hartselle’s Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 6 starting at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hartselle. Parade begins on Railroad Street. Applications for the parade are available at the depot.
Dec. 8
Christmas Tour of Homes, sponsored by Hartselle Beautification Association, is set for Dec. 8 3-8 p.m. Tickets sold at the following locations: Hartselle
Beautification Association, City Hall, Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce,
Florene (located by, Showcase). For more information, call 773-0300.
The Twickenham Historic Preservation District will present “The Spirit of Christmas Past” Dec. 8 from 5-9 p.m. on Echols Ave. in Huntsville. A tour of homes will be featured. Advance home tour tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are available at each home the night of the tour.
First United Methodist Church in Huntsville will host a Luminary Night Celebration Dec. 8 from 4-6 p.m. The event is open free to the public.
HR Block is sponsoring a Toys for Tots toy drive Dec. 13 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. at its office in Hartselle Plaza. For information, call Janice Bradford at 773-0587 or 232-8916.
Dec. 15-16
The 5th annual Christmas on Ice Show will be at Point Mallard Ice Complex Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. and 16 at 2 p.m. This year’s show is “The Snow Must Go On” a way off Broadway production. Cost is $5 in advance or $6 at the door; children under four are free. Call 341-4913 for information.
Dec. 16-18
Christmas at the Creek, featuring lights, dinners, music and special program is planned for Dec. 16-18 from 6-8 p.m. at Quail Creek Golf Resort. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for age 10 and younger. Menu is smoked turkey breast with white sauce, mashed potato casserole, green beans, glazed carrots, salad, rolls, desert and drink. Call 784-5033 for reservations..
