Funeral for Ottis Orville Burns, 82, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur.
Burial was in Caddo Cemetery.
Mr. Burns died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. He was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Lawrence County to Willie Burns and Mollie Willie Burns.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired boilermaker. He was pre ceded in death by his wife, Nona Burns.
He is survived by two daughters, Gayle Blalock of Decatur and Linda Hogan and husband Paul of Trinity; three sisters, Kathleen Long of Battle Creek, Mich., Lorene Miller of Tennessee and Dorothy Reeves of Decatur; five stepchildren, Kenneth and Mary Hannah and Joan and Ronald Fuller, all of Trinity, W.R. and Linda Hannah and Annette King, all of Decatur, and Shela Faye and Edward McGee of Hartselle; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nephews were pallbearers.
