Priceville girls get area win

CADDO - Priceville used a 13-0 run in the first six minutes of play Friday night to beat East Lawrence 69-36.
The win gives the Lady Bulldogs a 1-0 mark in Class 4A, Area 15 heading into a key matchup with Lawrence County Friday.
Priceville’s Chanel McClendon paced the Lady Bulldogs with a 15-point, 10-rebound performance. She also added three steals.
Callie Cox added 12 points and three rebounds. She was also 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the win.
Abbie Harris finished with 11 points and eight assists after going 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Adrianna Delatorre and Keila Hamlin both had 10 points for Priceville and Melissa Johnson added nine points and seven rebounds.
Priceville hit 15 of 18 free throw attempts to hold off the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Bulldogs were playing short-handed after losing Jordan Crow to an eye injury in the second quarter. Crow suffered a cut right above her eyebrow that required 11 stitches.
Priceville improved to 5-3 overall with the win.

Priceville had a strong run in the third quarter against East Lawrence’s veteran lineup, but the Bulldogs were unable get past the Eagles.
The Bulldogs cut East Lawrence’s lead to just four points at the end of the third quarter.
But East Lawrence went on a 20-10 run over the final eight minutes to wrap up the area win.
