W. L. ‘Louis’ Plemons

Funeral for W. L. “Louis” Plemons, 91, of Hartselle was Sunday, Dec. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Plemons died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at his residence. He was born July 10, 1916, in Morgan County to Claude Plemons and Novie Ethel Grantland Plemons. He retired from Wolverine Tube in 1979 and was a member of Hartselle First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Anthony Plemons; a brother, Cecil Plemons, a sister, Ruby Blankenship and husband Howard; and a brother-in-law, Fred Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife, Earleen Mizell Plemons of Hartselle; a son, John Plemons and wife Donna of Decatur; two daughters, Brenda Young of Hartselle and Valerie Leader and husband Jack of Helena; a sister, Francis Hamilton of Decatur; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family extends thanks to Gerald and Faye Yeager, Bertha Henderson, Cornelia Kirkpatrick, Ann Smith and other neighbors and a special thank you to Ala-Care Hospice.
