Caroline Jill Hames of Hartselle and Nicklas Adam Sroufek of Trinity were wed Nov. 3, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Wedding Chapel on the Mountain in Huntsville. Paul Levick officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Billy and Regina Hames of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Larry and Cathy Whisenant of Trinity.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a dress of ivory luster satin with embroidery, pearl and crystal beading and sequins. It featured a strapless gown with a corset, lace-up back and a semi-cathedral train with a red bodice band and red train insert. Her shoulder-length single-layer veil featured a red ribbon edge. She wore her sister’s silver headpiece with crystal beading and carried red and white roses tied with silver ribbon.
Bridesmaids wore red v-necked halter dresses embellished with a broach at the empire waste. They carried single long-stemmed white roses tied with silver ribbon.
Hannah Stephenson, sister of the bride, of Hartselle, was matron of honor. Mandy Sroufek, sister of the groom, of Decatur, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Whisenant, sister of the groom, of Trinity, and Jessie Elliot, cousin of the groom, of Decatur.
Shelby Camron, cousin of the bride, of Hartselle and Madison Kovar, niece of the groom, of Decatur, were flower girls. Dalton Terry, cousin of the bride, of Hillsboro, was ring bearer.
Larry Whisenant of Trinity was best man. Groomsmen were Tim Stephenson of Hartselle, Eli Watson of Decatur and Matt Jones of Falkville.
The reception was held in the Magnolia Room at the chapel.
The bride’s table featured a three-tiered cake with ivory icing and a ribbon pattern. It was decorated with red roses and topped with silver initials adorned with crystals.
The grooms’ cake was chocolate with a University of Alabama theme.
The wedding was directed by Michelle Levick.
Lauren Martin of Hartselle attended the bridal book. Emily Owens, cousin of the bride, of Hartselle, handed out bubbles.
The couple resides in Decatur.
