Funeral for Alfred Bell, 83, of Beverley, United Kingdom will be Monday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. GMT at Willerby Crematorium in Willerby, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
Mr. Bell died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, UK, due to complications of cancer. He was born April 9, 1924, in Carlisle, Cumbria, UK to James and Mary Bell. He served in the British Army in World War II as a gunner on the coast of southern England fighting German warplanes. He was a master painter/decorator and later retired from his service for the Royal Mail. Most importantly, he was a warm, loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Bell of Beverley, UK; three sons, Gordon Bell of Beverley, UK, Colin Alfred Bell and wife Mary Cristina of Bazemont, France and Raymond Leslie Bell and wife Amy (Howell) of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Laura and Nathalie Bell of London, UK, and Jackson Finlay Bell and Spencer Beckett Bell of Hartselle.
