Funeral for Doug Burgess, 60, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 9:30 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Sand Flat Cemetery in Vanzandt County, Tex.
Mr. Burgess died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, in Cullman County. He was an independent safety advisor for Masterguard. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Parker Burgess, a brother, David Wayne Burgess and a sister, Cathy Arrington.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Burgess of Hartselle; four daughters, Angela Spires and husband Phillip of Killen, Stefany Burgess Tubbs and husband Brandon of Hartselle, and Kimberly Burgess and Jennifer Burgess, both of Eau Claire, Wis.; his father, Harold Douglas Burgess Sr. and wife Janelle of Lindale, Tex.; two brothers, Jimmy Dale Burgess and wife Debbie of Cullman and Danny Ray Burgess and wife Jenny of Bullard, Tex.; a sister, Diane Adams and husband Tom of Lindale; and two grandchildren.
