Funeral for Mildred Inez French Nix, 76, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Nix died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1930, to Monte Leon French and Maude Bell Austin French. She was a devoted housewife and mother and will be dearly missed by her family and husband. Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, John A. French, Price French and Earnest French. And four sisters, Lenora Ricks, Elizabeth Russell, Olean Cagle and Louise Sims.
She is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Henry E. Nix of Hartselle; two sons, Boyce Nix and wife Ann and Dennis Nix and wife Debbie; five grandchildren, Stephen Vilafane, Kim Goodwin, Brian Goodwin and Kristi Knave; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Nix, Jonathan Goodwin and Laney Knave; and a sister, Shirley Jarrett.
Pallbearers were Boyce Nix, Dennis Nix, John Goodwin and Brian Goodwin.
