Funeral for Ronald D. Hill, 63, of Hartselle was Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Gunter officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Hill died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born April 29, 1944, in Lawrence County to Otto Hill and Mary Pritchard Hill. He was a member of Hartselle First Church of God. He was retired from the U.S. Army Reserves where he served as an instructor in supply, maintenance and military police schools. He was also retired from Hartselle Police Department where he attained the rank of lieutenant and was employed for 10 years. He always enjoyed helping people and serving the public. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Orr.
He is survived by his wife, Margean Hill of Hartselle; two sons, Steven Hill and Jeff Ayers, both of Hartselle; three daughters, Denise Teague and Carol Brown, both of Hartselle, and Kristina Tomlin of Falkville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Kirkpatrick, Drew Kirkpatrick, Jimmy Teague, Dwight Tankersley, Nick Tankersley and Derrick Ayers.
