Sarah Margaret Garner Morris

Funeral for Sarah Margaret Garner Morris of Falkville was Sunday, Dec. 9, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born Jan. 15, 1915. She spent her life caring for her family, friends and neighbors in multiple ways. She extended this gift of caring to patients of the former Pineview Hospital in Hartselle where she worked as a nurse from 1963 until the hospital closed. Her ability to garden and cook provided many wonderful experiences for those who knew her. Her grandchildren recall the time they spent fishing, learning to drive or simply just being with her as some of their fondest childhood memories. She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanton Nunn Morris and a brother, Wallace Garner.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stanton Morris of Decatur; a daughter, June Morris Reynolds of Covington, La.; three granddaughters, Tracy Morris Michael of Tallahassee, Fla., Monty Morris Vest of Hartselle; and Ceil Morris Heath of Birmingham; four great-grandchildren, Hagan Morris Michael, Anna Grace Michael, Eleanor Ruby Vest and Andrew Stanton Heath; two sisters, Mrs. Robbie Garner Morris of Massey and Mrs. Eddie Garner Simmons of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Tom Michael, Andy Vest, Bill Heath, Jack Summerford, Charles Garner, Michael Blaylock and Christopher Blaylock.
