Funeral for Dave Draper, 85, of Hartselle was Friday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bradford officiating.
Burial was in Center Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mr. Draper died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at his residence. He was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Morgan County to William Horace Draper and Bertha Mae Robinson Draper.
He was a cannoneer in the U.S. Army during World War II where he earned a Philippine Islands Liberation Ribbon with a bronze star, Good Conduct Medal and an honorable discharge.
He was preceded in death by a son, Davie Draper.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Maples Draper pf Hartselle; two sons, Tim Draper of Danville and Mike Draper of Hartselle; a daughter, Shelia Ann Draper Whitworth of Danville; five brothers; three sisters; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
