Funeral for Hautie Mitchell Moore, 98, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. at Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born Jan. 30, 1909, in Lauderdale County to John Henry Mitchell and Elnora White Mitchell.
She was an Avon representative for 42 years and worked as a hairdresser for 25 years at Summerford Nursing Home. She also worked at Luther King’s General Merchandise Store in Falkville. She was a member of Falkville First United Methodist Church for over 70 years.
She was the oldest living graduate of Lauderdale County High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua E. Moore and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Rebeccah Moore.
She is survived by two sons, Robert E. Moore and wife Saralene of Huntsville and Ronnie Mitchell Moore and wife Sharon of Hartselle; seven grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lance Moore, John Moore, Scott Moore, Mitchell Moore, Josh Moore and Justin Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle.
