Funeral for Louise Holt Reeves, 75, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 1 p. m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Priceville with Bro. Brad Roath officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Reeves died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at her residence. She was born Aug. 9, 1932, in Morgan County to Hassie L. Holt and Rena Johnson Holt.
She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
She was the rock of her family and loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Holt and Edith Holt.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Neal Reeves of Hartselle; a son, Ronnie Reeves and wife Karen of Hartselle; three daughters, Gwen Franks and husband Bobby of Hartselle, Carolyn Patton and husband Robert of Decatur and Bonnie Shelton and husband Will of Trinity; five brothers, Harold “Buddy” Holt, Arnold Holt, Sterling Holt, Van Holt and Earl Holt, all of Decatur; three sisters, Jessica Johnson of Somerville, Brenda McCleskey of Hartselle, and Evelyn Johnson of Danville; seven grandchildren, Stacy, B.J. Crystal, Todd, Jason, Andrew and Austin; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Hunter and Dillion.
Pallbearers were B.J. Franks, Brandon Franks, Todd Patton, Jason Wilborn, Andrew Reeves and Austin Reeves.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
