By Staff
Performing an original song she wrote, Leslee Scott of Morgan County took first-place honors and $1,000 in the Alabama Farmers Federation’s Talent Find competition during the opening session of the organization’s 86th annual meeting Sunday evening in Mobile.
Scott was joined by Blaine Horton of Shelby County as she played the piano and they sang “Made for Me” before the crowd of about 1,000 farmers on hand for the three-day meeting. Scott is the 22-year-old daughter of Jimmy and Sandy Scott of Somerville. She attends Middle Tennessee State University and is pursuing a degree in education. As the 2007 winner, Scott will perform at Farmers Federation functions throughout the coming year.
