James Melton ‘Jim’ Holmes

Funeral for James Melton “Jim” Holmes, 62, of Lacey’s Spring was Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery near Falkville.
Mr. Holmes died Sunday, Dec 23. 2007, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Jan. 26, 1945, in Morgan County to Bronco Holmes and Essie Dunlap Holmes.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra Holmes of Lacey’s Spring; four daughters, Robbie Stephens of Arab, Bonita Holt of Crestview, Fla., Christina Staggs of Hazel Green and Candice Bragg of Plumas Lake, Calif.; two brothers, Ellis Holmes of Hartselle and O.D. Holmes of Roswell, N.M.; three sisters, Freda Bernhard of Roswell, N.M., Peggy Williams of Falkville and Jane Russell of Lacon; and eight grandchildren.
