Funeral for Vernon A. Grant, 78, of Falkville was Monday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Shaddix and the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating.
A graveside service followed at 1:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
Mr. Grant died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Cullman County Long Term Health Center. He was born Feb. 8, 1929, to William Grant and Virginia Suits Grant. He was a member of Powell’s Chapel Church and a member of Masonic Lodge #396. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Grant.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Grant of Falkville; a son, William Grant and wife Judy of Falkville; three daughters, Sharon Grant, Deneise Burnham and Michelle Adams and husband Greg of Cullman; a brother, J.W. Grant; a sister, Ruby Howard; seven grandchildren, Jonica Burnham of Falkville, Alex Ousley, Blake Scott, Brandy Adams, Brayden Adams, Holly Adams and Samantha Adams; and a great-grandchild, Isiah Ousley.
