Funeral for Albert Dillo Thompson, 80, of Falkville was Saturday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Anthony Patterson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center. He served in the U. S. Army and worked at Monsanto for 15 years and Daniels Construction Company for 10 years. He was a deacon at Gum Springs Baptist Church. His brothers, Milton, W.R., Erskine and Leldon Thompson preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Burleson Thompson of Falkville; four daughters, Rebecca Ann Burgess and husband Marion and Martha Joyce Blankenship and husband David, all of Hartselle, Susie Crow and husband Anthony of Danville and Mary Jane Mitchell and husband Larry of Decatur; two sisters, Joyce Lesser Freeney of Georgia and Mary Lou Schrader of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Sivley, Dustin Crow, Tony Crow, Earley Gregory, Marie Burgess and David Scott Burgess.
