City’s privilege license deadline is Jan. 31

The deadline for Hartselle business owners to renew their privilege licenses without penalty is Thursday, Jan. 31 at 4:30 p.m.
Licenses were due and payable Dec. 31 2007. A 15 percent penalty is applied to renewals that are over 30 days late and a 30 percent penalty is applied after 60 days.
A change in the privilege license ordinance requires owners of commercial rental property to have a privilege license in 2008. Exempted are owners of single residential rental units.
