Funeral for Lynn Peebles Free, 56, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Curt Stanford and Chuck Oden officiating.
Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Free died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at her residence. She was born Jan. 5, 1952, in Morgan County to James “Jim” Peebles and Eloise Peebles. She was a bus driver for 22 years for the Morgan County School System. She was loved very much by her children. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Decatur Cancer Center for all of their help, concern and love.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Free of Hartselle; three sons, Steven Free, Michael Free and Kevin Free, all of Hartselle; her mother, Eloise Peebles of Hartselle; three brothers, Gary Peebles, Ronnie Reeves and Timmy Peebles, all of Hartselle; two sisters, Naomi Rice and Sherry Scott, both of Hartselle; five grandchildren, Amber Free, Bryanna Free, Cody Free, Zachary Free and Casey Free; and a host of children that she considered her grandchildren and that also called her Mammy
Pallbearers were Johnny Childers, Scotty Free, Rodney Childs, Dusty Free, Cody Free, Eddie Baker, John Campbell, Phillip Tidwell and Jody Maples.
Honorary pallbearers were Josh Skinner, Jacob Scott, Jimmy Free and Jeff Lawrimore.
