Funeral for Ruth McCaghren Morris, 88, of Hartselle was Thursday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas A. Salter officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. She was born June 14, 1919, in Morgan County to Walter Dee McCaghren and Annie Elizabeth Haygood McCaghren. She was a member of Johnson Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Morris.
She is survived by two sons, Mac Morris and wife Bobbie of Sharpsville, Ga. and Danny Morris and wife Evie of Falkville; a daughter, Phyllis Morris Moore and husband Gary of Danville; a sister, Mavis McCaghren Fitzgerald and husband Hugh of Danville; a sister-in-law, Pernie Morris of Danville; four grandsons, Brian Morris of McDonough, Ga., Patrick Morris of Temple, Ga. Justin Moore of Danville and Daniel Moore of Hartselle; and a granddaughter, Crystal Morris of Falkville.
Pallbearers were Brian Morris, Patrick Morris, Daniel Moore, Justin Moore, Joe Fitzgerald, Bradley Fitzgerald, Scott Hill, Bill Marshall and Paul Marshall.
