Smyth, Anderson exchange vows
Jodie Deanna Smyth of Hartselle and Eric Scott Anderson of Hillsboro were wed on July 7, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at Quail Creek Wedding Chapel.
Rev. Jack Redfearn Jr. officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Denise Smyth of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Jeanette Anderson and the late Ralph Anderson of Hillsboro.
The altar was decorated with ferns and candles were placed in the windows on either side of the chapel.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a strapless dress with a light gold bodice embellished with sequins and crystals. The bottom of the dress fell in layered gathers.
Her full length veil was accented with sequins and beads and held in place by a tiara adorned with pearls and rhinestones.
She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.
Jaime Smyth of Hartselle, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Mallory Martin of Hartselle, Laura Cummings of Murphreesboro, Tenn., and Yesenia Jaure of Phoenix, Az.
Attendants wore strapless appple colored dresses. They carried red and white roses.
Harley Anderson of Hillsboro, the niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Kipp Anderson of Hillsboro, the brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Michael Anderson of Hillsboro, brother of the groom; Carson Tinker of Murphreesboro, Tenn., cousin of the bride; and Jorge Bravo of Phoenix, Az.
Music was provided by soloist Jaime Smyth, the sister of the bride.
A reception was held at Quail Creek Pavillion immediately following the ceremony. The bride’s table featured a four-tiered white cake adorned with red roses. The cake was placed under a gazebo lit with small white lights and decorated with ribbons and tulle.
The groom’s table featured a strawberry pie (the groom’s favorite) and a chocolate fountain with fruit. The table was decorated in red, white and blue in honor of the groom’s military background.
Terrie Riggs served as the wedding director. The staff at Quail Creek assisted with the reception. Debbie Tinker, the aunt of the bride, served as the bride’s book attendant.
After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Kailua, Hawaii where the groom is stationed with the United States Marine Corps.
A rehearsal party was held on July 6 at Quail Creek Pavillion. The event was hosted by family members.
The couple was honored with several pre-nuptial events.
Skidmore, Wilhite to wed
Alice Skidmore of Danville and Ron Skidmore of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Deanne Skidmore, to Andrew Michael Wilhite, son of Mike and Terri Wilhite of Falkville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Opel Skidmore of Decatur. She is a 2007 graduate of Danville High School.
The future groom is the grandson of Bobbie Entrekin and the late Jimmy Entrekin of Hartselle and Hershel and Ruth Wilhite of Falkville. He is a 2004 graduate of Falkville High School.
The wedding is planned for March 15, 2008, at First Assembly of God in Hartselle.
