Andrew ‘Doodle’ Brakeman

A graveside service for Andrew “Doodle” Brakeman, 66, of Falkville was Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at Bell Springs Cemetery with the Rev. David Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Brakeman died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at his residence. He was born June 30, 1941, in Morgan County to Frank Joseph Brakeman and Lillian Cottingham Brakeman. He was a carpenter and was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Paul Brakeman.
He is survived by his wife, Glynda Harris Brakeman of Falkville; a daughter, Leanne Brakeman Hogan and husband Anthony of Danville; two brothers, Frank Brakeman and wife Pat of West Point and Willie “Butch” Brown and wife Pam of Falkville; and three grandchildren, Whittley Hogan, Joseph Hogan and Justin Hamby.
Pallbearers were Greg Brakeman, Rodney Brown, Craig Prettyman, Joseph Hogan, Sammy Umphrey, Charles “Champ” Kaston and Greg Leavesley.
