Funeral for Mark Towne, 16, of Valhermoso Springs was Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Snowden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mark died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in Valhermoso Springs, He was born Jan. 27, 1991, in Huntsville and was a junior at A. P. Brewer High School. He loved basketball, baseball and soccer.
He is survived by his mother, Sue Towne of Valhermoso Springs; his father, Mark Towne of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Michele Towne of Valhermoso Springs; his grandmother, Brenda Campbell of Alta Lmona, Calif.; his grandfather, Ron Schoenberger of Riviera, Tex.; uncle and aunt, Bob and Carol Mowery of Kissimmee, Fla.; uncle, Matthew Towne of Nashville, Tenn.; and a cousin, Jessica Towne of Paris, Tenn.
Pallbearers were classmates and friends.
