Funeral for Ruby Mae Powell, 69, of Vinemont will be Thursday, Jan. 31, (today), at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. G. T. Robinson and Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship Methodist Cemetery in Cullman.
Mrs. Powell died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1938, in Lawrence County to Leonard Prater and Katie Pauline Sanford Prater. She attended Speake Christian Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Ed Powell of Vinemont; a son, Dewayne Powell of Falkville; three daughters, Patty McCravy and husband Perry, Donna Sandlin and husband Jim and Melissa Klein and husband Richard, all of Vinemont; a brother, Charlie Prater and wife Dorothy of Danville; two sisters, Dorothy Powell and husband Ed of Falkville and JoAnn Steele and wife Ronald of Danville; and four grandchildren, April Cooper and husband Wade, Chase Powell, Christopher McCravy and Wesley McCravy.
