Vietnam Memorial finds new home in Cotaco Park

A Vietnam Veterans Memorial that has been in storage for over a year will soon have a new home in Cotaco Park on the north side of the Morgan County Courthouse.
The Morgan County Commission voted unanimously to accept the memorial at the request of local veterans organizations.
The memorial was purchased by Decatur Jayceettes in 1974 and placed in Delano Park, It was taken up about a year and a half ago when Decatur began refurbishing the park and has been in storage since that time.
The governing body acted on other matters as follows:
Accepted the following roads into the Morgan County road maintenance system: Kaylee Loop; in Blackwood Village, Phases 1 and 2, and Jack Thomas Court in Blackwood Village, Phase3, District 2.
