Funeral for Alice M. Jones, 85, of Decatur was Sunday, Feb. 3, at 2:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Morgan and Jay Rhoades officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Morgan County to Edward Aderholt and Lucinda Pinkard Aderholt. She was a member of South Decatur Church of God and was preceded in death by her husband, Relda Jones.
She is survived by a son, Bill Jones and wife Sherry of Decatur; a daughter, Dorothy J. Wilkins and husband Keith of Addison; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Jeff Jones, Jerome Jones, Tony Wilkins, Jemery Wilkins, Lance Whitaker and Gaylon Whitaker.
