A partnership between Hartselle Medical Center and Decatur Heart &Vascular (DHV) has created a new level of cardiac care for patients in the Hartselle area who prefer to stay at home for emergency care, diagnostic testing and consultation with a board certified cardiologist in cases dealing with the heart.
Effective Jan. 1, 2008, Decatur Heart &Vascular joined hands with HMC to provide cardiac care services on a part-time basis five days a week. The DHV medical staff consists of Anita M. Arnold, DO, Matthew Mick, MD, Tracy Neal, MD and Luis N. Villanueva, MD. All are board certified, experienced and highly skilled specialists in their field of medicine.
Typically, one of the four cardiologists is on duty at HMC each day.
They consult with patients and their attending physicians, order and analyze stress tests, nuclear imaging and echocardiogram results and make recommendations for follow-up medical procedures and patient care.
