Funeral for Nina Mae Maxwell, 74, of Valhermoso Springs was Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Culiver and the Rev. Anthony Ford officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Maxwell died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Cogburn Health and Rehab. She was born May 13, 1933, in Morgan County to William Andrew Goodner and Ruth Earley Goodner. She was retired from GTE Co. in Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harris Maxwell.
She is survived by four daughters, Edith Edwards, Carolyn Culiver and Drewcelia McWhorter, all of Huntsville and Jackie Williams of Lacey’s Spring; two brothers, Stanley Goodner of Valhermoso Springs and Carl Goodner of Lacey’s Spring; two sisters, Reba Elders of Lacey’s Spring and Helen Maxwell of Falkville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
