Priceville handles Danville on road

DANVILLE - Priceville closed out the regular season with a flurry, outscoring Danville 37-18 in the second half to beat the Lady Hawks 64-49 Friday night.
Priceville’s Keila Hamlin led all scorers with 26 points, while Abbie Harris finished with 15 points. Presley Darling chipped in with nine points in the win.
Hamlin had 12 points in the first half.
After trailing by four points at the half, the Lady Bulldogs went on a 22-5 run that helped them to a 13-point advantage heading into the final quarter.
Danville, ranked ninth in the Class 3A state rankings, got 18 points from Sarah Terry.
Ashley Nance finished with 13 points and Alaina Fitzgerald chipped in with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
Lacey Evans added eight rebounds and six assists for the Lady Hawks, who fell to 19-9 overall.
Danville was able to take a first-half lead after Terry came off the bench to score 16 first-half points.
Hamlin helped spark Priceville’s second half run with 10 of the Lady Bulldogs’ 22 points in the third quarter to give Priceville a 49-36 advantage going into the fourth quarter.
Danville will host the Class 3A, Area 11 tournament Thursday. The Lady Hawks will open with a 6 p.m. game with Vinemont, while Good Hope will take on Hanceville at 7:30 p.m.
The championship will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Priceville 64, Danville 51
Priceville got 14 points from Josh Sharp, while Kristian Barker added 12 in a 13-point victory over Danville.
The Bulldogs’ JaColby Reid added 10 points in the win, while Jamie Jones finished with nine points. Kody Smith chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.
Danville’s Roger Smith scored a game-high 17 points. David Long added 16.
