Funeral for Madge Lorene Johnson, 84, of Falkville was Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born June 22, 1923, in Morgan County to Wiley Jack Bates and Forrest Nevada Hall Bates. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Bates and two sisters, Margie Patterson and Melba Felkins.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne Vest and wife Alene, Vance Vest and wife Anne and Billy Vest and wife Dona, all of Falkville; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bryan Vest, Michael Vest, Daniel Vest, Cory Teague, Jim Garner and Caleb Vest.
