Man arrested for drug distribution

Members of the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit teamed with the Special Response and Anti-Crime Units and the Morgan County and Lawrence County Drug Task Forces to arrest a Decatur man suspected of selling drugs.
Frederick Maurice Fuqua, 43, of 1206 Fourth Street NW in Decatur, is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in the first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest follows a two-month undercover operation.
Police said they expect more arrests in the case.
Fuqua is being held on $6,250 bond.
