Hartselle man sentenced on child porn charges

A Hartselle man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
Terry Wade Lane, 52, was indicted last August and pled guilty in September.
Prosecutors said Lane ordered a DVD of child pornography in June 2007. He used his credit card to order the DVD from an undercover internet site established by postal inspectors that claimed to offer child pornography videos. The website advertised videos by offering detailed descriptions of sexually explicit acts that were performed on the videos, as well as the ages of the children involved.
Lane had the videos shipped to his Hartselle home. He later said he learned about the website through a sex offender.
The case was investigated through the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
