Zelma Barnett Cheatham

Funeral for Zelma Barnett Cheatham, 80, of Hartselle was Friday, Feb. 22, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Smothers officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Cheatham died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a Baptist and loved to work in her garden and flowers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Lambert.
She is survived by two sons, Jurdy Hughes and wife Alice of Somerville and Carl Hughes of Hartselle; four daughters, Virgie Narmore of Decatur, Ann Cash and husband J.C. of Cadwell, Ga., Carolyn Hughes of Hartselle and Shirley Nolen and husband Johnny of Danville; four brothers, Cleve, Erskine, Gordon and Rugus Barnett; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
