James ‘Wilbern’ Ward

Funeral for James “Wilbern” Ward, 74, of Hartselle was Monday, Mar. 10, at 2 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Peebles officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Ward died Saturday, Mar. 8, 2008, at Falkville Health Care Center. He was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Morgan County to William, Leldon Ward and Nannie Odelean Montgomery Ward. He was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by a son, Jamie Ward of Decatur; two brothers, Hack Ward of Hartselle and Boot Ward of Falkville; and six sisters, Aline White, Vaneta Ray, Reba Stinson, Yvonne Russell and Jean Self, all of Hartselle, and Brenda Sparks of Birmingham.
Nephews were pallbearers.
