Meth seized at Lacey’s Spring residence

A warrant related to domestic violence charges led Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies to the discovery of methamphetamine at a Lacey’s Spring residence.
Ruth Allen and Eric Hinton are both charged with first degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance. The arrests resulted from a warrant Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to serve at 69 Coffee Bluff Road in Lacey’s Spring. When deputies entered the residence to arrest Allen,they said they observed items used in the methamphetamine manufacturing process. Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Task Force agents responded and searched the residence. They found meth manufacturing equipment inside the home and manufacturing chemicals and a quantity of methamphetamine. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also seized. Both Allen and Hinton are being held in the Morgan County Detention Facility on $50,600 and $65,600 bonds, respectively.
