Joe Wheeler raising electric rates

Joe Wheeler customers will see their electric rates increase 2 percent starting April 1.
A 2 percent increase will cost the average residential customer, who uses 1,477 kWh per month, $2.54 more per month. An average customer that has paid $127.54 would pay $129.69 after the increase goes into effect. Individual bills will vary depending on the quantity of electricity that is used.
The increase must still be approved by TVA.
