Funeral for Linda Sue Higdon, 63, of Hartselle was Tuesday, March 18, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with her pastor, the Rev. Ron Teal officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Miss Higdon died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Morgan County to Claude Roden Higdon and Pearl Frances Moses Higdon. She was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church but attended New Covenant Church in Hartselle. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmy Higdon. She is survived by three brothers, Claude Higdon Jr. and wife Brenda of Decatur and Loyd G. Higdon and wife Carol, all of Decatur and Jack Higdon and wife Bonnie of Hartselle; very close special friends Charlotte and husband T.J. Brown of Hartselle; two nephews; two nieces; and two great-nieces.
Pallbearers were Ray Lawrimore, Terry Greer, T.J. Brown, Donnie Lowery, Chris Higdon and Jerry Parker.
The family expresses their appreciation to Leigh Chappell and the staff at Hartselle Housing Authority, the Department of Aging staff, Sunbridge Nursing Home, her doctors, Decatur General Hospital staff, Hospice of the Valley and all of her friends for their compassion, prayers and loving care.
