Funeral for Ordie A. Thornhill, 86, of Danville was Saturday, Mar. 29, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornhill died Thursday, Mar. 27, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born February 1, 1922, in Morgan County to John Luther Wallace and Emma Elizabeth Taylor Wallace. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.P. Thornhill, a brother, Carl L. Wallace and a sister, Celo Tarence.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue A. Story of Hartselle; a sister, Angie Sanders of Hartselle; two grandchildren, Ricky Story and Darren Story; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Story and Shaynah Story.
Pallbearers were Ricky Story, Darren Story, Johnathon Story, Tim Seagers, Michael Godwin, Tom Blanton, Derrick Hutson and Jeffrey Curtis Sanders.
