Funeral for Wilda Muzzey Ryan, 80, of Decatur was Friday, Mar. 28, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Standridge and the Rev. Mark Johnson officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery in Somerville
Mrs. Ryan died Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2008, at her residence. She was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Morgan County to John Albert Muzzey and Mattie Elizabeth Blankenship Muzzey. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Ryan.
She is survived by her husband, Talmadge “T.W.” Ryan of Decatur; three sons, Jerry Ryan, Steve Ryan and Tony Ryan, all of Decatur; two sisters, twin Hilda Whitworth and husband Robert of Athens and Mae Orme of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Chad Ryan and wife Daphne, Lucas Ferrell and Cara Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Justin Ryan and Jessica Ryan.
Pallbearers were Kevin Cagle, John Taylor, C.W. Gipson, Larry Ryan, Danny Paul Muzzey and Tommy Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Hospice.
