Marijuana, cocaine seized at motel

Two pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution and crack cocaine were seized during a raid at Microtel Inn and Suites in Decatur last week.
According to Sheriff Greg Bartlett, the Morgan County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force and Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit conducted the raid April 2. Fernandez Cortez Swoopes, 27, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Swoopes is being held on $200,000 bond
