Funeral for Virginia Brown Fisher, 69, of Danville was Friday, Apr. 4, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with James Glenn, Bro. Carol Goforth and Bro. Mason Booth officiating,
Burial was in Upton’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Fisher died Tuesday, Apr. 1, 2008, at her residence. She was a devoted member of Upton’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, was a UMYF leader and served as church pianist for 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, two sisters and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Frank Fisher of Danville; a son, Danny Fisher and wife Susie of Danville; a daughter, Amy Smith and husband Michael of Danville; a brother, McCoy Brown of Decatur; three sisters, Marie Standridge of Tennessee and Grace Jones and Adell Terrell, both of Danville; six grandsons, four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family members.
