Daniel L. ‘Danny’ Cross

A graveside service for Daniel L. “Danny” Cross, 58, of Columbus, Miss. was Monday, Apr. 14, at 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Elder officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Visitation was Sunday, April 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus.
Mr. Cross died Friday, Apr. 11, 2008, at University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Decatur to the late Russell Dee and Mary Ruth Daniel Cross. He graduated from Austin High School in Decatur and the School of Medical Technology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He was Lab Director at Columbus Hospital from 1982-1991. In 1991 he opened Cross Golf Carts and was the owner of that business at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Kirby Cross of Columbus, Miss; four sons, Bryan Cross and wife Beth of Austin, Tex., Michael Clark and wife Leigh of Pensacola, Fla. Rusty Clark and wife Casey and Collins Clark and wife Kim, all of Columbus; a brother, Johnny Cross and wife Jan of Hartselle; and six grandchildren, Bailie Cross, Kirby Clark, Cooper Clark, Madison Clark, Ella Grace Clark and Emily Anne Clark.
Pallbearers were Michael Gorum, Keith Hodges, Clint Manier, Troy Gonzales, David Stephens and Jose Sosa.
