Girl Scouts collecting items

In an effort to fulfill their promise, “to help people at all times,” Girl Scouts across North Alabama are joining forces to collect personal care items. All items collected will be donated to local shelters and non-profit agencies who have clientele in need of hygiene items.
Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama is collecting full or travel size items, but all items must be new. The following items are needed: shampoo (for all hair types), soap, deodorant, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, sanitary napkins, tampons, shaving cream, disposable razors, toilet paper, facial tissue, disposable diapers, baby wipes, baby powder, lotion, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, calamine lotion, and adhesive bandages.
Troops will collect items within their communities and all collected personal care items will be donated back to those same communities. The following agencies will receive the donated items: The Committee on Church Cooperation (CCC), Hope Place, The Caring Place, and Lexie House.
